Sensex closed below the level 23,000 and Nifty50 fail to hold the level of 7,000.The BSE Sensex ends at 22,976 down by 112.93 points or 0.5 percent and NSE Nifty
closed at 6,970.60 down by 48.10 points.
End of the day advanced shares 888,declined shares 1561 and 169 shares were unchanged.
The Indian rupee down by 17 paise to 68.73 per dollar.
The BSE Midcap declined more than 1% and Smallcap index slipped 0.9%.
Tata Motors,L&T,ICICI Bank,SBI,Maruti Suzuki and Axis Bank down 1-3 percent while
HDFC,Sun Pharma,ONGC and Coal India gained 2%.
