The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 25,228 down by 33 points and 50-share NSE Nifty closed at 7,733 down 2 points or .03%.
On Friday Hang Seng index fell 1.7% to 20,109.87 and China Enterprises index lost 1.8% to 8,471.70 points.
The blue-chip CSI300 index fell 2.6% to 3,130.35 while Shanghai Composite index lost 2.8% to 2,913.25 points.
Stocks fell across the board,with energy and resources shares leading the declines.
The Nasdaq biotech index dropped 1.3% while S&P health sector was down 0.6%.
The S&P 500 posted 16 new 52-week highs and 12 new lows,the Nasdaq recorded 32 new highs and 82 news lows.
