Today end of the Friday,the market ended with positive and Nifty hits the level of 8,000 today.
The Sensex ended up with 286 points or 1.08% at 26,653 and the Nifty closed up 87 points at 8,156 or 1.08%.
The broader market outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap index gaining 1.4% and about 1409 shares advanced against 1159 declining shares on BSE.
The Hang Seng index rose 0.9% to 20,576.77 points bringing its gains this week to 3.6%.
The China Enterprises index gained 0.8% to 8,595.28.
The S&P BSE benchmark gained 5.1 points during the week while the 50-share Nifty50 managed to gain 5.2%.
Today shares of Jet Airways surged nearly 6% and stock jumped 5.84% to Rs 642 on BSE.
The Nikkei share average edged up 0.4% to 16,834.84 and a very light trading week just over half a percent higher.
