On second last day week of a trading session market ends with strength and Nifty ends above 8,200 for the day.
The BSE Sensex closed at 27,002 gain 236 points and NSE Nifty closed at 8,270 gain 66 points or 0.81%.
And the broader markets underperformed benchmarks while the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were flat.
Today the Hang Seng index rose 0.4 percent, to 20,868.34, and the China Enterprises Index gained 0.3 percent, to 8,785.07 points.
End of the day shares of Sun Pharma ended 1.59% higher.
Today China stocks fell,the CSI300 index of the largest listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen fell 0.5 percent to 3,117.32 points.Shanghai Composite Index also lost 0.5 percent to 2,891.96 for today.
