Equity Benchmark indices remained direction less as investors awaited Union Budget that will be presented on Feburary 1. The Sensex was trading down 16 points at 27865 and the Nifty felled 11 points to 8630. The Indian Rupee opened lower by 2 paise to 68.06 per Dollar.
The BSE Small Cap declined 11 points to 13100, Bank Nifty slipped 42 points to 19666 and BSE Mid-Cap hiked 27 points at 12992. In Commodity market, Gold jumped up 59 points at 28,412 while Silver gained 8 points at 41,440.
