The share market is still holding firm with the Nifty hovering around 8400. The Nifty index is up 43 points or 0.5 percent at 8392 while the Sensex up 95 points or 0.3 percent at 27129. A total of 34 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 8 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.25% at 12636.54, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.67% at 12845.94. In Commodity market, Gold jumped up 174 points at 28,799 and Sliver gained 340 p-oints at
41,765.
GAIL, ONGC, Tata Steel, SBI and Tata Motors are top gainers while ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, HUL and L&T are losers in the Sensex.
