Indian share market continued to see selling pressure, though they recovered a bit from day's lows. The NSE Nifty was still struggling below 8000 level ahead of expiry of November derivative contracts. The BSE Sensex was down 113 points at 25936 and the NSE Nifty felled 40 points to 7995 while the broader markets were flat with a negative bias. BSE Small Cap hiked 3 points at 11808, BSE Mid-Cap declined points at 12023 and Bank Nifty lost 131 points to 18409.
In Commodity market Gold trading down 87 points at Rs 28,742 per 10 gms and silver lost 276 points at Rs 40,250 per kg.
Out of 1,871 stocks traded on the NSE, 889 declined, 1034 advanced and 93 remained unchanged today. Indian Rupee opened marginally lower by 0.27 paise at 68.83 per dollar.
Asian markets opened in the red except the Japanese "Nikkei" trading up 187 points to 18350, Hong Kong's index "Hang Seng" dropped 84 points at 22592 and China's index "Shanghai Composite" gained 3 points at 3244. In European market, FTSE slipped 2 points at 6817, CAC dropped 19 points to 4529 and DAX lost 51 points at 10662.
