Market closing Update: Equity Benchmark indices ended at over two-month closing high as Indian market outperformed Asian peers. The Sensex closed up 50.11 points or 0.2 percent at 27288.17, and the Nifty jumped up 12.45 points or 0.1 percent at 8412.80. About 1529 shares advanced, 1245 shares declined, and 316 shares were unchanged. The Rupee closed flat.
The BSE Mid-cap Index hiked 34 points at 12673, whereas BSE Small-cap Index gained 72 points at 12763. In Commodity market, Gold closed up 160 points at 28,540 and Silver jumped up 236 points at 41,123.
Asian Market Update: Nikkei 225 lost 192 points to 19095, Hang Seng dedclined 21 points to 22718 and Shanghai Composite lost 10 points to 3102.
Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Adani Ports, SBI and Hero MotoCorp are Top Gainers while Infosys, ONGC, Reliance, Sun Pharma and GAIL are Top Losers in the Sensex.
