Second day week of a trading session the market strength was weak or closed with a red note and Nifty fail to hold the level of 7,700 end of the day.
On end of the day today BSE Sensex down by 516 points closed at 24,883.59 and NSE Nifty also down by 155 points closed at 7,603 or 2.01%.
About two shares declined for every share advancing on BSE.
China’s Shanghai index ended with 1.45% gain but Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index lost 1.57 percent.
European shares also fell on Tuesday to touch their lowest level in almost six weeks.
Today in early trade the domestic currency has opened marginally lower at 66.25 per dollar.
