On the last day week of trading session or starting session of April month the market closed with a negative note or Nifty fail to hold level 7,750.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 25,269 down by 72 points and NSE Nifty 50-share closed at 7,713 down by 25 points.
The broader markets outperformed benchmarks with BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 0.2% and 0.9% respectively.
And about two shares advanced for every share declining on BSE.
Japan’s benchmark index ended the week 4.9% lower.
End of the Nikkei share average shed 3.6 percent 16,164.16 its lowest close since March 1.
The JPX-Nikkei Index 400 declined 3.5 percent to 11,738.40.
