Today on second day of trading session the market closed sharply with a high note or Nifty closed above 7,950.
At the end of the day 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 26,007 gain by 328 points and 50-share NSE Nifty 7,962 gain up 107 points or 1.37%.
Today about 1568 shares advanced,declined shares 992 and 169 shares were unchanged.
Equity benchmarks outperformed the broader market as Sensex rose 1.28% compared with a 0.79% rise in the BSE Midcap index and a 0.68% gain in the BSE Smallcap index.
On Tuesday shares of Hindalco closed higher by 4.63%.
The CSI300 index of the largest listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen rose 0.5% to 3,179.16,while the Shanghai Composite index gained 0.6% to 2,964.70 points.
