On Thursday end of the day the market closed with strength or Sensex gain over 450 points today.
The 30-share BSE Sensex gain 485 points at 26,366 and 50-share NSE Nifty closed at 8,069 gain 134 points or 1.70%.
The broader market underperformed benchmarks with BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 1 and 0.9% respectively.
About 1406 shares advanced against 1139 declining shares on BSE.
In Asia,China Shanghai Composite ended 0.26% higher while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index advanced 0.14% and Japan’s Nikkei index ended 0.09% higher.
The broader traded in line with benchmark indices as BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.20 and 0.11% respectively.
The CSI300 index of the largest listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen rose 0.2% to 3,064.21.
