Indian share market closed flat with a positive bias. The Sensex was jumped up 22 points at 27257.87 and the Nifty gained 19 points at 8417. About 858 shares advanced against 654 declining shares on the BSE. The Indian Rupee closed flat.
The BSE Mid-cap Index closed up 0.45% at 12729, whereas BSE Small-cap Index hiked 0.61% at 12883. BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap are outperforming major indices. In Commodity market, Gold closed higher by 17 points at 28,755 and Silver hiked 83 points at 41,682.
On the global front, Asian stocks closed on a mixed note. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng advanced 1.13%, China’s Shanghai Composite ended marginally up, while Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.43%
Top Gainers are BHEL (3.44%), HUL (2.98%), Tata Steel (2.95%), ONGC (1.51%), M&M (1.06%).
Top Losers are NTPC (1.65%), Hero Motocorp (1.37%), GAIL (1.37%), Bajaj Auto (1.18%), Adani Ports (1.02%).
