Indian stock markets opened higher Wednesday tracking Asian peers, even as fears of global uncertainties on the US President-elect Donald Trump’s policies are likely to weigh. BSE Sensex trading up 176 points at 27,412 while NSE Nifty jumped up 58 points at 8,456 points in the early morning trade.
Currently 1508 shares have advanced, 606 shares have declined and 237 shares are unchanged on BSE. The Rupee opened higher by 3 paise at 67.92 per Dollar.
All major sectoral indices were trading in green, with Automobile, Banks, FMCG and Metal stocks pulling the broader markets up. The BSE Mid-cap Index hiked 95 points at 12768, whereas BSE Small-cap Index gained 103 points at 12907.
