Indian markets opened on a bullish note on Friday with the major indices soaring in early hours.. The Sensex closed up 174.32 points or 0.6 percent at 27882.46, and the Nifty was up 38.50 points or 0.4 percent at 8641.25. About 1401 shares have advanced, 1387 shares declined, and 288 shares are unchanged. The Rupee closed higher by 4 paise at 68.04 against US Dollar.
The BSE Small Cap hiked 69 points at 13112 and BSE Mid-Cap gained 83 points at 12964 and Bank Nifty jumped up 235 points at 19708.
In Asian market, Nikkei 225 closed up 65 points at 19467, Hang Seng slipped 13 points at 23360 and Shanghai Composite gained 10 points at 3159.
