The share market remained under pressure amid choppy trade in morning, dragged by Tata Motors that lost 8 percent as brokerage houses slashed their target price sharply on the stock after disappointing earnings on domestic business and JLR front.
The Sensex was down 139 points at 28203 and the Nifty felled 41 points to 8750. The broader markets also lost ground, with the BSE Mid-cap and Small-cap indices falling 0.4 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively. More than two shares declined for every share rising on the exchange.
In Commodity market, Gold trading up 27 points at 29,028 and Silver jumped up 106 points at 42,586.
