Equity benchmark indices as well as broader markets continued to consolidate in morning, with the Nifty hovering around 8800 level as investors awaited SBI and Bank of Baroda's quarterly earnings. The BSE Sensex trading up 32 points at 28361 and the NSE Nifty hiked 19 points at 8797. About 1344 shares advanced against 1012 declining shares on the BSE.
Maximum BSE sector are trading with positive leads. The BSE Mid-Cap gained 2 point at 13508.65, BSE Small Cap jumped up 57 points at 13639 and Bank Nifty hiked 123 points at 20274.
In Commodity market opened with negative leads. Gold slipped 141 points to 28,948 where as Silver dropped 201 points to 41,830.
In European Market, FTSE trading up 41 points at 7229, CAC jumped up 60 points at 4826 and DAX gained 99 points at 11642.
Grasim, Bank of Baroda, Tech Mahindra, Adani Ports, SBI are Top Gainers while Aurobindo Pharm, Zee Entertain, BPCL, ITC, Tata Motors (D) are Top Losers in the NSE.
