Equity Benchmark indices traded in the green zone, driven by a rally in index heavyweights. The Nifty was eyeing 9200-mark. The Sensex gained 171 points at 29536, while the Nifty hiked 61.15 points at 9180. However, the market breadth was narrow as 1,568 shares advanced against a decline of 1,061 shares, while 130 shares were unchanged.
In Commodity market, Gold declined 364 points to 29054 while Silver declined 319 points to 40970. Crude oil prices to trade range bound for the day, driven by expectations that OPEC will extend a pledge to cut output to cover all of 2017, although a relentless rise in U.S. drilling capped gains.
