On second day week of a trading session after continuous struggle today market ends with red or Nifty ends below 8,350 for the day.
The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 27,166 slip by 111 points and 50-share NSE Nifty closed at 8,335 down 34 points or 0.42%.
Ends of the day market breadth was weak as about 1474 shares declined against 1282 advancing shares on the BSE.
Today Coal India, BHEL,Tata Steel and Wipro were gainers while GAIL, Bharti Airtel, Hero MotoCorp and NTPC were losers.
The Nikkei dropped 0.7 percent to 15,669.33 and the JPX-Nikkei Index 400 fell 0.5 percent to 11,342.45.
And Equity markets will remain shut on Wednesday for Ramzan Id holiday.
In Asia,China’s Shanghai Composite ended 0.60% higher and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index fell 1.46%.Japan’s Nikkei ended flat with 0.67% loss.
