Equity benchmarks indices extended rally in morning trade with the Sensex rising 181 points to 26531 and the Nifty climbing 56 points to 8183. About 1660 shares have advanced against 504 declining shares on the BSE. The Indian Rupee recovered further against the US dollar, rising 12 paise to 68.64 from previous settlement.
All BSE sector is trading with minor positive leads. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading marginally up 139 points at 12,385, BSE Small-cap Index jumped up 139 points at 12,245 and Bank Nifty gained 92 points at 18357.
In commodity market, Gold declined 23 points at Rs 28,713 per 10 gm and silver lost 22 points at Rs 40,650 per kg.
Asian market Updates: Japan's index Nikkei declined 47 points to 18309, Hong Kong's index Hang Seng trading down 57 points at 22773 and China's index live 10 points up at 3286.
