Indian share opened lower today, however equity benchmarks indices ended in the positive zone. After eight consecutive days loss Sensex closed up 61 points at 26040 while Nifty gained 6 points at 7985. About 1220 shares advanced, 1333 shares declined and around 175 remained unchanged.
The broader markets underperformed benchmarks with the BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap ended lower. The Indian Rupee Closed higher by 17 paise at 67.82 per Dollar.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 ended marginally lower. DAX and the CAC 40 were trading over in green.
NSE Gainers: Cipla, Bosch, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Auto.
NSE Losers: Axis Bank, ONGC, ITC, Wopro, M&M.
