Sensex and Nifty are trading in red. Nifty sectoral indices are mixed where in Nifty Metal has dipped more than 1%. The BSE Sensex is trading at 26479 down 39 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 8,135 down 18 points. A total of 15 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 14 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
Out of 1880 stocks traded on the NSE, 1108 declined, 1068 advanced and 119 remained unchanged today. Indian Rupee opened higher by 4 paise at 67.81 per Doller.
Maximum sectors are trading with negative zone. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 50 points to 12191, whereas BSE Small-cap Index lost 9 points t0 12134. In Commodity market, Gold gained 23 points at 27,042 and Silver hiked 240 points at 39,535.
Asian market updates: In International market Asian markets opened broadly higher today with shares in Japan leading the region. Japan’s Nikkei index gained 146 points at 19420, Hong kong's index Hang Seng jumped up 5 points at 22064 and China' index Shanghai Composite trading up 4 points at 3122.
