Share Market Updates | Sensex closed lower, Nifty ended at 8139

Equity Benchmark indices ended the Friday's session lower with Sensex slipped 29.51 points to 26489.56 and the Nifty closed down 14.15 points at 8139.45.  About 1121 shares declined against 1121 advancing shares on the BSE. 

BSE Small Cap surged down 29 points to 12113 while BSE MidCap lost 4 points to 12236 and Nifty Midcap dropped 59 points to 14620. The Indian Rupee closed 5 paise at 67.79 per Dollar. 

Asian Market Updates: All the global indices closed flat. Nikkei closed with minor hike of 127 points at 19401 while Hang Seng just 38 points down to 22020 and Shanghai Composite dropped 6 points at 3124. 

Gainers Tata Motors, Cipla, Infosys, TCS, Maruti Suzuki.

Losers Bharti Airtel, ONGC, BHEL, ICICI Bank, Adani Port.
